Your SF State ID is a nine-digit number assigned to you during the student application or hiring process. Your SF State Login and Password and two-factor authentication (2FA) device will allow you to access SF State resources including:
Wi-Fi, email, Global Protect VPN, Box at SF State, Online Course Content, and other web resources.

- SF State Login: nine-digit ID number with the domain "@sfsu.edu", e.g., 912345678@sfsu.edu

Update Your Personal Profile
SF State needs your correct contact information to verify your identity and reach you if needed. Keep your information updated.
Important Tips:
- Don’t Share Personal Info: Keep your personal information private.
- Watch Out for Phishing: University accounts are often targeted. Don’t click on suspicious email links.
- Check Your Email: Make sure the external email you gave to SF State is one you check often. Update it if needed. Update it if needed.

Universities email accounts are targets for phishing scams. Phishing emails can trick recipients into providing sensitive information like personal information, account passwords, credit card information, or banking records.
